Why I started this business
I spent my first years in the trade insulating new houses, where the walls are open and nothing gets in the way. Lived-in homes have old insulation, leaks you can't see and a family living under the attic, and that's the work I wanted, so in 2023 I started Superior Sioux City Insulation Company as an insulation contractor in Sioux City for houses people already call home.
Most of our calls come from Sioux City area homeowners with a cold room, a drafty upstairs or an attic nobody has looked at in years. Doing the work in the right order matters most to me, because insulation laid over a leaky attic or a wet crawl space just hides the problem. So we fix or flag what's underneath first. If your job isn't ready, I'll tell you, because I'd rather do that than sell you one that won't hold up.

Licensed and insured
We're fully licensed and insured. Before work starts, we check with the city or county office and take care of any permit your job calls for, so that question isn't left on you.
Sioux City's rules for contractors
The City of Sioux City doesn't license general contractors, but it says contractors need to be registered with the State of Iowa and file a $10,000 bond made out to the city before they can get a building permit.
